NEW JERSEY STATE TAXES
As part of the administration's on-going attempt to "change the way business is being done in Trenton," the squeeze on taxpayers is getting tighter and tighter. The following are a few of the increased and new taxes imposed on taxpayers to cover this year's 17% increase in state spending, as well as the last three years' $6.4 billion (The Trentbnian, June 29, 2004), 30% increase in state spending: Taxes on real estate, telephones, cell phones, cigarettes, tires, income taxes, cosmetic dentistry, cosmetic surgery, (ie. breast augmentation, laser hair and vein treatment) motor vehicle point surcharge, car registrations, parking tickets, corporate tax, minimum business tax, professional licenses, HMO tax, billboard tax, park access fees, taxes on hotels, utilities, casinos, Medicaid, liquor licenses, construction, nursing homes, kennels, divorce fees, etc., etc., etc., and finally, when you die, the new, improved and increased
"New Jersey State Death Tax."
