SENATORS ALLEN, VITALE TO HOLD ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS PRESS CONFERENCE
Trenton – Senator Diane B. Allen, (R- Burlington), and Senator Joseph Vitale, (D-Middlesex) will host a press conference to unveil new legislative initiatives that will encourage organ and tissue donation, in Room 103 of the Statehouse, Trenton on Monday June 14, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. The comprehensive proposal – developed in concert with The Gift of Life - seeks to increase awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donors. Currently, more than 89,000 donors are waiting for transplants in the United States and 17 people die each day due to a lack of available donors. Local donors and recipients will be present to show support for the proposal.
