: SACCO: TRANSPORTATION ISSUES WILL STAND OUT IN 2006 

: TRENTON - Senator Nicholas Sacco, D-Bergen and Hudson and Chair of the 
: Senate Transportation Committee, made the following statement following the 
: swearing in of Jon Corzine as New Jersey's 54th Governor: 

: "Today is a day to look forward and consider the endless possibilities the 
: future may hold. I have no doubt, as Chair of the Senate Transportation 
: Committee, that the coming year will be a very busy one for me and my 
: committee. 

: "The Transportation Trust Fund is broke and we need to find a permanent 
: solution to the funding crisis. We can no longer count on budget gimmicks to 
: pay for our transportation infrastructure needs. We can no longer delay 
: action, hoping that it will become the next person's problem. 

: "As we welcome Governor Corzine to the State House, I am looking forward to 
: working with him to find realistic, responsible solutions to the problems 
: facing the Transportation Trust Fund and our transportation infrastructure 
: as a whole."
