ACTING GOVERNOR CODEY SIGNS BILLS INTO LAW

(TRENTON) Acting Governor Richard J. Codey signed the following bills into law today:

SCS for S-702/1580/ACS for A-2462/2873 (Bateman/Cohen/Gill/Lesniak/Russo): Makes various revisions to the "New Jersey Property-Liability Insurance Guaranty Association Act"

S-836/A-3251 (Chivukula/Gill/McKeon/Turner/Vas/Voss): Makes changes to "New Jersey Women's Micro-Business Assistance Act"

S-839/ACS for A-1940/2357 (Asselta/Conaway/Conners/Previte/Van Drew/ Vitale): Provides that TPAF and PERS veterans' retirement with 35 years of service shall be based on highest benefit year rather than last year of service

S-1470/A-1295 (McKeon/Merkt/T.Kean) - Designates official entity constructing law enforcement memorial and museum

S-1555/A-2871 (Cohen/Lesniak/Scalera/Wisniewski): Combines separate stock and mutual workers' compensation insurance security funds into a single fund

S-1723/A-3174 (Asselta/Chiappone/Doria/Van Drew/Wisniewski): Permits special improvement districts to enter into certain financing arrangements with private lenders

S-2037/A-3591 (Caraballo/James/Rice/Tucker): Repeals local parking and payroll tax sunset provisions and "Revaluation Relief Act of 1999"

SJR-32 (Singer/Vitale): Designates November annually as "Lung Cancer Awareness Month"

A-758 (Bateman/Cohen/Steele) - Requires ownership label or notice on ATMs

A-2697/S-1584 (Gusciora/Watson-Coleman/Previte/Turner): Revises criteria for new historic sites to obtain historic site property tax exemption

A-3214/S-1894 (Roberts/Van Drew/Buono/Gormley): Concerns regulation of certain agreements between casino and casino service industry licensees
